The Lifestyle of an English Mastiff
If she's not snoozin' on the couch, she'll likely be snoozin' on her bed. Because of her size and weight, Bear normally gets about 15 minutes a day
of exercise. She's not one for long, hot walks or hiking, either. Although she does best in neither extreme heat or cold climates, she
absolutely loves the snow!
- Bred to be guardians of 'hearth and home', Mastiffs have comparatively low exercise requirements and can live happily in an apartment.
- Make eye contact with your Mastiff; they communicate a great deal with their eyes, and they are excellent at reading your
expressions and body language. You can easily hurt their feelings by raising your voice, so be sure to use lots of praise and positive rewards!
- Mastiffs drool! Most owners keep cloths at hand to wipe 'slingers' off their Mastiff's face and their own and visitors' clothing.
