Club Projects
Upon joining the Sustainable Agriculture Club, students can participate in a variety of self lead projects to help improve and maintain the garden.
- Aquaponics
- The Sage Hill garden has an aquaponics system that sustainable fertilizes the plants. It does this by taking water from a fish habitat and passing it through a piping system which delivers nutrient rich water to plants. This process also filters the water, keeping it clean for the fish.

- The Outdoor Classroom was an original part of the vision for the Sage Hill Garden. Its purpose would be to provide a change of scenery and a more immersive learning experience for the science students. Especially when it comes to Biology and Environmental Science, understanding the relationships between different parts of nature is vital in gaining a full understanding of the content. This club hopes to rejuvenate the outdoor classroom and create a vibrate learning atmosphere
- Sustainable Garden
- The garden is lined with several planters growing a variety of fresh produce. These plants need to be properly raised and protected from a variety of conditions. Additionally, their produce needs to be gathered and stored when the time comes.
- Solar Panels
- A pair of solar panels power the entire garden. Students must maintain the panels to ensure sufficient power, and can retool these panels' energy towards other projects.
- Pest Control
- The gardening club has two main enemys: Birds and Squirrels. These animals often rampage through the garden, eating plants. In order to protect the plants, students are tasked with developing human and novel ways to fend off these predators.
