METROLINK LOComotives and passenger cars

Metrolink has two types of locomotives. The older one is called MPI MP36PH-3.  And the new one is called EMD F125, The MPI locomotives are painted in white and blue, and the EMD locaomotives are painted in black, silver and green.

Metrolink has two type of passenger cars: Bombardier Bi-level cars and Hyndai Rotem Bi-level cars. And ther are also cars with a cab on one end, and the regular cars without a cab. The Bombardier cars are painted in white and blue, and the Hyundai cars are painted in black, silver and green.

There are also spcial cars with specical colors, for special purposes and occations! 

Bike Car

Metrolink has added Bike Cars to accommodate more bikes on select trains. The lower levels of the new Bike Cars are equipped with multiple stalls that are designeds to hold three bikes each, designed to hold 9 bikes on the lower level.

Angels Express

Metrolink used to have special trains for people going to the  Angel Stadium in Anaheim to see the baseball games.  But unfortunately, they did not operate Angels Express this year.  I hope they are coming back next year. 

 

 Christmas Train

When I was a child I remember seeing the Christmas train at Tustin Station in late December.   It had beautiful lights and I saw lots of toys on the train. But I don't see them anymore... such a bummer!  

Arrow Line DMU

The new DMU (Diesel Multiple Unit) trains feature a sleek, modern design and are powered by lower-emission diesel engines for a quieter and more energy-efficient ride.
