The Greatest Artist of Our Time
Eiichirô Oda is the creater of the popular manga One Piece. Which has been adapated by the Toei anime company into a very popular anime and then again adapted into a live action series on Netflix. I am a huge fan of Eiichirô Oda and consider him one of the most important artists of our time. He has created a lasting and amazing work of art that is based in equality, friendship, family, loyalty, empathy, integrity, dream following, resilience, and rebellion. Considering the world we have around us right now this is a very important work of resistance. Art has always been a powerful tool to challenge the dominate social structure. Although Eiichirô Oda is super successful and popular he has maintained a private lifestyle. He rarely makes public appearances and even prefers to not have his photo taken. Given the insane popularity of his works this makes sense. I wanted to showcase Eiichirô Oda because there are still not enough people reading or watching One Piece..it's that good.
